FAQ
FAQ
Is this a government website?
No. Asia Visitor Guide is an independent information site. We don't issue visas, process applications or charge fees. Apply only through the destination government's official website or embassy.
Do I need a visa for my trip?
It depends on your nationality, destination, length of stay and purpose. Start with the destination's official immigration or foreign-ministry website, or its embassy in your country. Our visa types overview explains the categories.
How can I tell an official e-visa site from a copycat?
Official sites usually use the government's domain and are linked from the embassy or foreign-ministry website. Copycat agencies often charge much higher fees. See how to avoid fake visa websites.
What is the six-month passport rule?
Some countries require your passport to remain valid for six months beyond your departure date. Others use three months or just the length of stay. Try our passport checker.
Can I bring my prescription medication?
Usually, but some common medicines are restricted or banned in certain countries, and you may need a doctor's letter or import permit. Check before you pack. See medications and restricted items.
Who do I contact in an emergency abroad?
Local emergency services first, then your country's embassy or consulate. Save both before you travel.
